I've never made anything before, is this right for me?

Yes, we have very small classes with 2 tutors for groups of between 3 and 6 and lots of hand on tuition. We will talk to you before the course begins to find out about your ideas and how we can help you make your ideas a reality. 

I am experienced with making jewellery and silverware, what will I learn?

If you are more experienced we are happy to teach specific techniques including:

  • Raising
  • Granulation
  • Stone setting
  • Fold forming
  • Chain making
  • Advanced soldering techniques
  • Tool making

Do i need to bring my own equipment?

The cost of the course includes access to all the equipment you will need as part of our and professional workshop. Depending on your project if there are very specific tools required we will teach you how to make them as part of the course. If you have any of your own equipment your are welcome to bring it.

Do I need to bring my own materials?

Before the course begins we will discuss what you would like to make. We can order materials for your project on your behalf at cost price, alternatively you can source your own.

Is catering provided?

We provide a substantial home cooked lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea.

What if I have special dietary requirements?

Please let us know when you are booking the course and we will cater to you.

Where can I find accommodation in the area?

There are a range of hotels and bed and breakfasts available in the town of Peebles which is a 15 minute drive from our workshop. If you would like to stay somewhere closer in Stobo please contact us and we can put you in touch.
